The Central Westchester Parkway, constructed in the 1930s, is today a short spur route connecting I-287 with NY 22. Originally concieved as a parkway connecting Elmsford and White Plains, the extension to Elmsford was never constructed, and most of the remainder of the parkway was converted into the Cross-Westchester Expressway.
