I-91 is a major north-south corridor serving eastern Vermont and western New Hapmshrie, paralleling the Connecticut River on the New Hampshire border as well as US 5. It was completed in Vermont in 1978. The northern segment also connects Boston and New Hampshire to Canada via I-93.
