New York State Roads - Inner Loop Exit List

Inner Loop

The Inner Loop (reference route 940T) is a short freeway facilitating travel in downtown Rochester. The freeway was formerly a beltway around downtown with connections to I-490 on both ends. In December 2014, the east end was permanently closed as part of a project to reconstruct Union Street (formerly one of the frontage roads) as a two-lane, two-way urban street. Planning for the removal of the remainder of the Inner Loop is underway.
