The Loop Parkway (reference route 908C), originally envisioned as the Long Beach Loop Causeway, connects Jones Beach and the Meadowbrook State Parkway to Long Beach. Tolls were removed from the road in 1978 when the state bought out the roads maintained by the Jones Beach State Parkway Authority.
