New York State Roads - Brattleboro, VT Roadmeet

We met around 11:30 at the 99 Restaraunts on US 5 off exit 3 of I-91 for lunch. After the meet tour, we had a quick post-meet snack/dinner at Fast Eddie's. The meet took place at the end of the 2025 Covered Bridge Week.

Meet Tour

Tour Notes

After lunch, we took our cars to a nearby park and ride to group together for the tour. We then took VT 9 into New Hampshire to look at the old and current arch bridges over the Connecticut River.

We crossed by into Vermont and took I-91 and VT 9 to the Historic Creamery Covered Bridge, where we took the meet photo.

We took VT 9 to downtown Brattleboro and took US 5, VT 142, and VT/NH 119 back into New Hampshire and parked near Runnings to walk around the new NH 119 bridge and observe the former NH 119 bridges. Afterwards, we went into Runnings for a beverage and comfort break.

We then crossed back into Vermont and took US 5 and VT 30 to stop at the I-91 bridge over VT 30 and the West River.

We continued up VT 30 and took a brief detour to cross the Rice Farm Road Iron Bridge before our final stop at the Historic Dummerston Covered Bridge. We then crossed the covered bridge and took East-West Road, Middle Road, and US 5 back to the park and ride.
